What we do

Digitizing the maritime paper trail

IDsure was established in 2021 in Odense, Denmark. Our team of software engineers and experienced maritime professionals is focused on improving efficiency in the maritime industry through digitization.

We answer the industry's need to digitize seafarer and training center certificates. Using a secure, universal digital ID and user profile that includes certificates and records, IDsure releases the paper-dependent administrative burden — creating a digitally secure, future-looking process that reduces cost, is administratively efficient, scalable in application, and fraud-resistant.

IDsure's mission is to make digitized documentation an efficient and secure standard in the maritime industry.

Our founder

Built from lived experience at sea

Jesper Holmgren is a Master Mariner and former seafarer with deep experience in maritime regulations, documentation, and crew certificate processes. He founded IDsure after experiencing firsthand the inefficiency, fraud risk, and administrative burden of paper-based maritime certification.

IDsure is not a tech company that discovered maritime. It is a maritime company that mastered the technology — and built the solution the industry had been waiting for.

Sustainability

Save resources by going digital

Every certificate digitized is one less tree cut, one less carbon mile driven, one less paper trail to lose.

Reduce paper consumption

Going digital eliminates the demand for paper certificates — reducing reliance on tree-heavy production processes and supporting a cleaner planet.

Lower your waste generation

Remove water and chemical-intensive processes involved in producing paper, folders, and ring binders. Minimize your environmental footprint from day one.

Minimize carbon footprint

Paper production, transportation, and storage all contribute to significant energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. Digital certification eliminates these at scale.

Sustainable Development Goals

Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals

IDsure is committed to contributing towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. We focus specifically on SDG 4 (Quality Education) — using digitized certificates to gain valuable insights into skills development in the maritime and offshore industries — and SDG 5 (Gender Equality) — promoting equal opportunities and diversity across maritime professions.

By digitizing credentials, IDsure creates a more transparent, accessible, and equitable system for seafarers worldwide.
